INCLUDING SAMUEL
INCLUDING SAMUEL is a fantastic documentary by our friend, Dan Habib, about his son Samuel’s inclusion into a New Hampshire school. You can learn more at his site www.includingsamuel.com. Click on the link to see a trailer of the documentary. It’s inspiring, and it reminds me of Jesse’s hard-won inclusion into our local public school.
Jesse, A Mother’s Story–paperback release 4/5/2011
This spring Simon and Schuster will release the paperback edition of Knowing Jesse as JESSE, A MOTHER’S STORY. I’ll put up the new jacket jpeg when I can figure out how to do it! (i need a live-in IT person). The object of the title change/new cover is to prevent the bigbox book stores from shelving the book in “medical” or “special needs” and to get it out to the general public. I’ll be talking to some universities when the paperback comes out. I’m really looking forward to sharing a parent’s perspective with future sped teachers.
